Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he implored His followers to make disciples by baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Part of being a disciple is being baptized into the name of the Triune God. It is a mark that indicates that we are no longer servants of the King, but heirs.
