We continue to celebrate Pentecost. It is the longest season of the Church Year and the completion of God’s plan of salvation. I sometimes wonder if we as Christians give it the emphasis that it deserves. At Christmas we celebrate the coming of the Messiah, at Easter we celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection. At Pentecost we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit that empowers us to believe. Without that empowerment we would not have the hope of eternal life.
